Please use Detroit Audubon’s Eventbrite Link to register. Registration is not required to attend, but it greatly helps to prepare for the event.
Detroit Audubon is partnering with Arboretum Detroit and Detroit Future City to offer birding workshops and events at Circle Forest in 2022 and 2023.
Join us for a Bird Walk led by Detroit Audubon Research Coordinator, Ava Landgraf. We will meet at Circle Forest (3301 Palmer St Detroit) to begin our walk.
We will be walking around the East Ferry-Warren Green Loop looking and listening for birds. For each bird we find we can discuss behavior, field marks, fun facts and identification tips. If there is not much bird activity we can discuss past bird sightings in the area as well as the local plants and how they interact with birds and other wildlife.
We will provide binoculars for anyone who would like to borrow them. There is a porta-john onsite at Circle Forest.
Sign up through Eventbrite is not required but it is helpful for us to get an idea of the number of participants.
We will be outside but still encourage wearing a mask if desired. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with Covid-19, please stay home.
If you have any questions, or arrive late and need to find the group, please call Ava at 313-800-1578 and leave a message.
