Join us for a Bird Walk led by Detroit Audubon Research Coordinator, Ava Landgraf. Early morning is the best time of day to see and hear birds so are excited to see what birds show up! We will meet at Circle Forest (3301 Palmer St Detroit, at the corner of Elmwood St and Palmer St) to begin our walk.
We will be walking around Circle Forest and Callahan Park looking and listening for birds. For each bird we find we can discuss behavior, field marks, fun facts and identification tips. If there is not much bird activity we can discuss past bird sightings in the area as well as the local plants and how they interact with birds and other wildlife.
We will provide binoculars for anyone who would like to borrow them. There is a porta-john onsite at Circle Forest.
