Giant Sequoia Planting with Archangel Ancient Tree Archive

  • The Neighborhood Tree Nursery - Arboretum Detroit 3300 Farnsworth Detroit, MI, 48211 United States (map)

Join Arboretum Detroit and Archangel Ancient Tree Archive in planting an old-growth giant sequoia forest, the first of its kind in an urban setting. These aren’t just any trees; they are living legends, their genetic lineage stretching back nearly 3,000 years to some of the largest, oldest, and most resilient trees on Earth. These magnificent sequoias are direct descendants of the “Stagg and Waterfall Tree”, two of the world’s largest giant sequoias.

We will meet at the Neighborhood Tree Nursery at 3300 Farnsworth st., dig up trees and move to the planting location at 5408 Moran st.

Please sign up below, it helps us with preparation, and letting you know if any changes happen. We will never share your info with anyone.
