We remember our fantastic friend, MLK High and MSU grad, arb volunteer, slam poet champion / MSU team captain, and so much else, Patiense McKenzie, on this day. We will plant some more trees and shrubs into Patiense Grove, spread woodchips on the path, and hopefully catch a front row glimpse of all the parade floats as they roll by in advance of the Thanksgiving Day Parade.  I believe that when we plant a tree we plant ourselves. This is why I visit Patiense Grove when I want to visit with Patiense. I'm pretty sure she visits this spot as her essence flows through infinity.
